Creative Update

Well it seems everything went FAR smoother than I had planned.
I had a slight issue with email not working. I could not send or recieve any email from Friday night untill a couple of hours agao. Other than that, it was perfect. Probably did not even notice the switch.

Everyone please go check your files (if you have any) and ensure everything is as it should be. If not, email me and I will look into it asap.

I have made a few site changes as well, so read on to see what happened with the upgrade.

News Blog
I have switched my news update page to a blog format. This will also be used to post all newsletters. I will still send out the newsletter, but will also post it on the blog as well. Have a look at it here:

Added to Portfolio
I have added a few more recent samples to my online portfolio.

Rate Changes
I have made some slight changes to my rates. New rates are effective as of now, all previous contracts are still at the quoted rate.

Hosting
I am consider a new option to my business. I am considering offer my own hosting plans for my clients who are looking for it. This is not the same as what I currently do by just allocating some web space. This will be a full hosting service for clients. They will get all the options of having their own hosting account including the ability to add email addresses, FTP accounts, as well as all the many benefits of premade web scripts

If anyone is interested in this, let me know. If there is enough interest I will set it up.

Thats it, thats all.
Thanks to everyone, and I am pretty sure this will be the last newsletter for sometime.

Myles

PS: Some of you did not subscribe to my newsletter, but I added you anyway to get these updates to everyone in one mailing. Feel free to unsubscribe anytime.

Creative Newsletter #2, 2006

Hello everyone!

Welcome to my second newsletter of 2006. It is coming very soon after the first, so I do not have a whole lot to say. The only major news is the changing of servers.

I mentioned in the last newsletter I would be switching at the beginning of April, but it looks like I need to switch sooner as the current server has been having serious back end issues all week. This has caused me much frustration as every time I report the issues, I am told they are solved, only to have it happen again the following day.

The new server is already set up and all files have been transferred over. I just need to do some final server set up and testing over the next day or so. On Saturday Morning March 25th 2006, I plan on making the full switch so CreativeCompulsions.com may go down for a few days (but it may not). Once the site is up and running on the new server, please let me know if you find any problems.

Creative Newsletter #1, 2006

Happy New Year everyone!

Okay, okay, I know it is already mid march and I am just now saying happy new year. Well it has been a very busy year and this is the first time I have had a chance to write this newsletter this year. So I repeat, Happy New Year!

This year is turning out to be great. Busy, busy, busy. Lots of great new business are turning up and getting some work done. Always a good thing. End of last year we held a contest for local bands. The winner was 500 Pound Furnace. They have a completed logo and work has begun on developing their new web presence. Stay tuned for the new website for them in the next month or so. For now, here is the new logo.

Another new business and new client is Computer Business Training (http://www.cbt1.ca).
I have been working on some various script installations for Peter. Have a look through his site and see if he can help your business.
