It seem that to some people, common courtesy does not extend itself to the internet.

Earlier this month I was surfing the web looking for information/instructions on how to install roll roofing. I have a gazebo with roll roofing that needs to be replaced.

First site that comes up in Google in Roofer911.com. Good site with lots of info. But when I tried to get more info, I found that they had a menu section with links that do not work. All the links were trying to finds the files loaded on someone’s computer instead of on the web server.
With some cut & paste action I got to the pages I was looking for, but thought I should fire off a quick email letting them know of the links and how to correct. Common Courtesy!

Email sent, I put it out of my mind. I will be redoing my roof this weekend and decided to search the web again to make sure I know what I am doing. First site that comes up is Roofer911.com And you know what? The links have been fixed. I am glad they took my advice and corrected the mistake. But they could have at least said thanks. A one word email would suffice.

If someone emails me to tell me I have broken links or something does not work, I fix it pronto and send them a thank you note. Common Courtesy!

Even though they did not extend the courtesy, I will be polite anyway and say

Your Welcome!
