Creative Newsletter #2, 2006

Hello everyone!

Welcome to my second newsletter of 2006. It is coming very soon after the first, so I do not have a whole lot to say. The only major news is the changing of servers.

I mentioned in the last newsletter I would be switching at the beginning of April, but it looks like I need to switch sooner as the current server has been having serious back end issues all week. This has caused me much frustration as every time I report the issues, I am told they are solved, only to have it happen again the following day.

The new server is already set up and all files have been transferred over. I just need to do some final server set up and testing over the next day or so. On Saturday Morning March 25th 2006, I plan on making the full switch so CreativeCompulsions.com may go down for a few days (but it may not). Once the site is up and running on the new server, please let me know if you find any problems.

For clients who have their sites hosted by me, your sites have been moved to the new server, but you will be down at the same time while I change all the name servers. Once your sites go back online, please check and notify me of any issues.

For clients who have work in progress, your passwords should remain the same, but if you have any trouble logging in to your preview pages, please let me know so I can look into it.

Everything should be up and running by Tuesday March 28th 2006. Please wait until then before telling me your site is not working.

Sorry for any trouble this may cause but it is much a needed upgrade. Thanks everyone!

PS: I was recently told about a new business directory that is just starting out. This is a paid business directory listing service (always good), so the quality of businesses listed is top notch. They are having a special right now for free basic listings, so it is well worth listing your business. Check them out at:

    Hi, Myles

Thanks for the good press :). I’m afraid the free listing option at SolStar Directory expired and we’re back to accepting only paid listings at this time, but should we run a promotion again, I’ll try to remember to post a special url here that we use to accept such listings.

We’re busy building traffic volume to the directory for our advertisers benefit at this time, whilst slowly and carefully building pagerank so that we may confer it to listings – for those interested in Google – a big job 🙂

    Thanks

    Regards

Richard Strange – admin – SolStar Services and Shopping Directory.
