Tasks – To help promote the launch of the new Grindstone Park web site the GCOA needed some business cards designed to be distributed to cottage owners and bo0ard members at thier AGM. It needed to be colourful, yet simple. Enough impact to make people look at the card, but not too muddled with information. Just the facts.
The card was designed with a computer monitor displaying the new web site design on the screen, with a simple not and the web site url.
Nice looking card that does exactly what it needed to do.
The two biggest problems we face are image resolution and color problems.
People want to design their own business cards mississauga, but don’t know how to do it so they end up sending Word files with 96dpi jpg images.
It’s very hard to convince them that we can’t print their file.
I see that everyday. I even send files back to people asking for hi res, and what they do is simply change it to 300dpi thinking that will fix it. A 100dpip image, increased to 300dpi, is still low res. You can’t just set the resolution as you please, need to fix it at the source.
This is why it is ALWAYS best to get a professional designer to create files for you.
